English Wooden 13 inch doll

Polly is intricately hand-painted and hand-carved with movable limbs. This doll is unique as it features wooden dowel pins for her movable legs, reminiscent of the 18th century. Her arms are connected through her with a linen cloth lightly stuffed with batting. Her hands and carefully hand carved with delicate individual fingers. The gown is entirely hand-sewn and inspired by the early 1800s round muslin gown depicted in the Patterns of Fashion book 1. The gown is secured with two snaps, while a button is sewn on to replicate the look of the original gown. She comes with a shift and a Regency style straw bonnet trimmed in purple ribbon. Her hair is made of natural flax that is braided into a low bun, perfect to fit in the straw bonnet! Her gown is removeable and she can be re dressed if you like!
