Thank you for your patience and understanding as I work hard to bring these unique dolls to life, I look forward to sharing them with you soon!

Maiden Lane Market was born out of a deep curiosity for American and fashion history, particularly that of the 18th century. My passion for sewing began in childhood, fueled by a love for history that has only grown over the years. After pursuing my education and starting a family, I found joy in creating historical-style dresses for my daughters' dolls, which eventually led me to sewing historical gowns for myself and my daughters. In my quest to give my daughters a beautiful 18th-century style wooden doll for photographs, I faced frustration in finding an affordable option that wasn't too precious for them to hold and touch. This challenge inspired me to craft my own wooden dolls, blending my love for history with hands-on creativity, ensuring my daughters could cherish their own unique dolls while appreciating the elegance of the past.

I enjoy creating dolls, it allows me to stretch my creativity and challenges me to enhance my skills more with each doll. Each step in the doll-making process presents its own unique challenges, whether it's sculpting the face, choosing the perfect fabric, or crafting intricate clothes. With every doll, I find myself delving deeper into new techniques!
